280-years combined service – ambulance heros and heroines presented with Queen’s Medal.
Frontline ambulance workers with 20-years of service gathered at
the headquarters of the North East Ambulance Service in Newcastle
to collect their Queen's Medal.
The silver medal was issued under Royal Warrant in 1995, and is
presented to staff with at least two decades frontline emergency
service.
The presentations were made by the Lord Lieutenant of Tyne and
Wear, Sir Nigel Sherlock KCVO, OBE, who said: "Thank you on behalf
