The first stage of the NARU commander resilience project has been completed. This has focused on interviewing a sample of NHS Ambulance Service commanders and identifying the key behavioural competencies of the most successful ones, as well as some of the factors that challenge effective performance of commanders during incidents. A commander survey is now being developed, led by Dr Tony Zarola.
