Independent review of how NEAS is run
North East Ambulance Service is starting a review of how it
is run and governed.
The service is expected to carry out this review every three
years. The last one was held three years ago, in November 2011,
when the North East Ambulance Service became an NHS Foundation
Trust.
A review like this is essential to make sure that the
organisation has the right structures and processes in place to
deal with the challenges of rising health costs, increase in demand
and growth in patient expectations.
