East of England Ambulance HART Team in Church Tower Rescue

The Rescue from Yarmouth Minster

Local East of England Ambulance Service crews and members of its Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were called to Yarmouth Minster on Priory Plain, Great Yarmouth, at 9.32am and the first paramedic arrived at 9.40am.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, had fallen from scaffolding three feet to a lower part of the tower, ending 90ft up with chest bruising from the fall.

Ambulance clinicians, including the cycle response paramedic, who was first on scene, worked with HART members to treat the man in situ before bringing him to safety with the help of fire crews.  Read the full story here.
