Ebola: from a patient’s perspective

Evening Standard editor Sarah Sands: “Believe me, the NHS is ready to tackle Ebola.”

A week after Standard editor Sarah returned from Sierra Leone, a nurse from Public Health England phoned to remind her to report any temperature of 37.5 or above for a period of 21 days.  Sarah had been running at 38.5, and advised them accordingly.

In this article, she details the magnificent response from the specially trained Ebola paramedics and the thoroughness of her A&E experience.
