Good hand hygiene will help local ambulance service cope with increased winter pressures

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SCAS) is stressing the importance of good hand hygiene as one of the easiest ways to prevent illnesses such as food poisoning, and viruses such as colds, flu and Norovirus, which leads to sickness and diarrhoea. On Global Handwashing Day (October 15th 2011) the Trust wants to remind people to soap up and remove bugs to protect both their health and that of others.
