Innovative scheme will take patients to the place they want to die

Dying patients across the North East now have access to a dedicated transport service, designed to take them to their preferred place to die anywhere in the region, thanks to a scheme by the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS). The NEAS End of Life Transport scheme, gives terminally ill patients the option to be transported by ambulance with a specially trained crew to the place they want to die.
