"Thanks for saving my life"

A Washington man who suffered a cardiac arrest just before Christmas paid a visit to Monkton station with his wife to thank the crew who saved his life. Keith Ward called the NHS 111 service on 18 December after suffering from chest pains. The call handler, Robert Johnston, recognised that he could be suffering a heart attack and an ambulance was dispatched.
