At the request of NHS England, NARU has worked with a number of stakeholders to develop a new service specification for Ambulance Command and Control.
This will contain a number of NHS contract standards in a bit to improve the quality and consistency of Ambulance Command at Strategic, Tactical and Operational levels.
The specification has been out to consultation and amendments have been received from the National Directors of Operations Group, the National Directors of HR and the National Heads of EPRR.
External stakeholders including the other responding agencies have also provided extensive comments on the document, which will be reviewed by the National Medical Directors Group over the next three months.
NARU is aiming to publish this document in the Spring of 2017.
